MYTHIASIN Scraps Album Recordings

July 15, 2007

Guitarist Mark Coglan of MYTHIASIN, the band fronted by former STEEL PROPHET vocalist Rick Mythiasin, has issued the following update:

"Well, we finished up recording on the [debut MYTHIASIN] album but none of us were happy with the sound, so, we scrapped it and started again. We are probably 75% done with the new recording and it sounds a lot better this time. I won't give an estimated time of completion because everything takes five times longer than I think it will. So it will be done when it is done. Hopefully it won't take a whole bunch longer."

To check out demo versions of the MYTHIASIN tracks "The Future is the End", "Punishment Overdue" and "Lost Voice in a Crowd", go to this location. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Watch as the World Dies", "Coming Home", "Tell Tale Heart", "Origins" and "The Gathering of Five".

Mythiasin recently rejoined California metallers STEEL PROPHET. The band is set to begin recording the first songs with Rick in five years. Drummer Gene McEwen will begin laying down tracks for two new songs in about a week. More information will be made available soon.
